My spiritual life has a mom in heaven with her dogs
all her dogs in heaven
reunited with her there.
Regarding them, she was always positive and though
no one knows for sure how to inhabit forever
without arguing literal noses ears teeth and coats
she freely believed in good faith
she will be in heaven with all of them.
Then put Jackie with her there
the cocker spaniel from her teenage years,
Sandy ran away but she’ll find her way to her forever home
Fluffy got put down with mange but he’ll have been healed
Tricky might run away and return for meals 
Beauregard the Dalmatian was given away and will be returned
mom had been warned he’d be a giant in a suburban yard
Buster the Collie Shepherd with a golden lab’s disposition will be kind
Prince will be in better shape - here he was barreled and overweight
and lastly Scooter 
an old person’s dog not much of a companion
with her in spirit if not on leash.
