I apologize for being someone everyone thinks is a monster
everyone loves these new babies
it makes me want to break down and cry because I wasn’t anything like them
Doug said he remembers Marsha loving to sit on my lap as I read to her
I said I can’t even imagine that’s true
not that I doubt he's telling the truth but
that’s not remotely the person I remember
Dena said I was very young and probably don’t remember
that I was only six and she was two
I replied I can't imagine that's true.
