Our first adventure from Old Coach Lane
Ruth and Lewis the cutest two and four
I told Dawn we’d climb Mt. Monadnock 
Monadnock means Mountain Standing Alone
climbed 2nd most after Fuji
it should be easy 
we’d return in a couple hours.

Starting up the rocky root-tripping trail
Lewis was a hiker already
Ruth wanted to be carried

I’d pick her up and after a few steps

put her down to see if she goes

a half hour later she’d warmed up

they liked to go fast but it’s a long mountain 

four hours maybe six with little kids

on the way down running so fast so far ahead
we called it Trail Boss

wanting the lead 
running ahead to get it.
