The first obstacle to my delinquency was settling on the weapon size
to enact the trick of trick-or-treat
should the soap be a cake or strategically worn small?
A full bar in my pocket would be a dead giveaway to mom 
but a little piece might not mark noticeably enough
or if too thin would break.
Because soap doesn’t wash off window screens
or so I thought
I resolved against permanent misbehavior
and would stick to window panes
if ever I did.
