Arriving at the doorless airport in Kochi Kerala
a taxi was waiting for the Old Harbour Hotel.
The next day the desk clerk who had checked me in
said the ferry to Ernakulum
where lightweight shirts are sold
was a five-minute walk to the pier and
observing my unsteadiness in the south India heat
called for a cab.
