Married young then first jobs
one working the other not
Dawn was a Home Health Aid
there were a few recoveries
mostly end-of-life nighttime shifts
sitting in the bedroom with the dying asleep
pinned with sleepiness 
anyone who knows Dawn knows
she was a friendly and merciful caregiver
she said
relieved and happy about it too
the skin beneath their clothing isn’t wrinkled 
it’s young and smooth.
