At Revere Beach the first free beach in the US
I parked gently overlapping the “No Parking” line
while Dawn was managing ear protection from the wind
cotton skull caps on Lew and Ruth 
a mid-30s local tapped the window
he’s squeezed in could I move forward so he can leave
as I pulled up he followed closely until I was zoned out
he stopped
locked up and didn’t look back.
