Mom’s funeral was humble simplicity
and saving money Scottishly.
The preacher from her church said 
the significance she impressed upon him was
she was always a lady.
(He might not have known how that reflected on him.) 
He said she lived to obey and did it well. 
Religious humility rankles me
the dearly loved literally gone forever
entering heaven with head bowed.
Memorial services are so much better
