While browsing for Dawn’s birthday ideas
one idea came to mind
she’d lost a bathrobe years ago
lacking Macy’s nor any dazzling after-Christmas sale
I told Dawn that’s what I’d like to get for her present
it didn’t take long for her to find
LL Bean women’s robe in light blue
I ordered it on sale with additional $10 off.
That she lost her robe frustrated me
had I intimated that money spent had been enough?
had she foresworn another as a consequence?
