Doug and I began Sonus TAC at Qwest ten years ago.
One of the nights drunk in Columbus I fell down and hurt my face 
he drove up and down the sidewalk curb.
Years before in Okinawa he loved Japanese girls 
married a crazy US marine and divorced fast 
he married a local girl in Mass and that didn’t last
he gave her whatever settlement just to be done.
After our project at Qwest he volunteered to fill-in Japan
fell in love
married a Japanese woman with mother and sisters
moved permanently to Tokyo and had two kids.
At Sonus this Christmas he replied to my request for charity
he’d send Toys For Tots a check and
we texted catching up.
He sent  a picture of a 250 pounder in front of a Harley Davidson in Tokyo.
I said 
It sort of looks like you how did you get so big?
He laughed
that’s my dad visiting me a while ago
really my step-dad 
the one I told loves H-D.
Did your mom come? I asked.
No she wouldn’t travel with him they’re divorced.
Oh I remember he’s living in Wisconsin
is your mom still in New Hampshire?
No she moved to Wisconsin when he did
they can’t stand living together but
they must be near.
