Thanksgiving lunch 2016
the Elegent Chef
the teaching cafe at Nashoba Tech
across the street from the office park
Yan and Shiping were already seated
when we arrived they smiled with heaping
salad turkey squash and potato plates
Suroj Jecko Venu Malini Julia and I had our own table
Venu and Malini opted for vegetarian
$2 for rolls salad and dessert with tea
we sat among seniors bussed in for the holiday meal
at the cashier after dessert
we praised the food especially the rolls
the student chef replied with surprise and delight
“I made them this morning!”
we confirmed her success
“Thanks very much — delicious!”
