We met at Kimballs for ice-cream
our colleague said his move to Hyderabad was immanent.
His daughter now in 4th grade was an infant when she arrived
a citizen of India and likely won’t have a green card
when she's 18 in 10 years.
To avoid expiration
the move to Hyderabad had been planned
the sale of his townhouse was closing that night.
We smiled and said
You’ll be back.
He used a favorite expression saying
We’ll see.
