The 32 Berkeley St. closet
stealthily between the living rooms and porch
is huge with an action like no other.
On first pull the door hesitates
it relaxes if pulled twice  
likewise push a second time to close.
Befitting the size it needs light inside
pull the string twice to illuminate the coat rack and shelving
two pulls darkens the space.
A friendly dog-pull of a closet
it's constantly the same:
twice opens
twice lightens.
In reverse
twice obscures the coats, gloves, and hats
and just as a hundred times before
to close the closet pull twice.
