We set up carnival rides at schools and park the trucks away from it
the worst thing in the world is 43 degrees and rain
five days in a row
smoking Marlboros you can’t afford
the sun walled off behind a steel-grey door
New Hampshire never did dry out
but the rides are tore down
the trucks are loaded up and
cheerfulness is coming back again.
