Uncle Dog lives down the street a block
a mixed bag a Brown Retriever
a scarf around his neck
wise beyond his years
a young woman with Uncle Dog on a leash ran past and waved
she was jogging at a pretty good pace
Uncle Dog jumped playfully toward her as he walked along
she unleashed him at the end of her run
when the house door closed he stayed out
an afternoon snooze on the lawn.
