Stuffed teddy Blue Thunder is a grumpy bear
though not really grumpy
he bellyaches to stir up a kindness 
he’s cheerful again when he gets what he wants
and he loves his boys
they’re not family tree because he’s not their father
he calls himself their uncle but in the world of bears
uncle may not mean a blood relation
uncle may mean he adopted orphans
he’s never more happy than with his boys 
they delight him with wrestling and fighting
their fighting is playing rough because Blue Thunder wants them tough
if someone gets mad he doesn’t stay mad for long
even if he sulks a while Blue Thunder cheers him up
Little Thunder is cubby-cute and admires Blue Thunder awfully
eating pies and cakes and Christmas cookies and watching football games
he wants to be like his uncle when he grows up
and they all tease Ginger who loves baseball not winter sports
he’s very sleepy during the late season
Ginger played for the Chicago Cubs and mostly ignores Blue Thunder
he says Blue Thunder burps after meals 
is overweight overbearing and
a lousy role model for the boys.
