My spiritual life begins at birth and met
its first bump in a Baptist Church.
A scared 10 year old kid was spurred 
accept Jesus or face the consequences, I did.
Grandpa Reverend Reed said 
the Lord wants me to go to Wheaton
and be a minister like him.
At Lewis and Clark my spiritual life turned within
two friendly girls visited with a shopping bag
pot hash and spiritual white light all encompassing
everything was infused with the God-love that was the light
it’s possible I self-induced the mystical experience to avoid sleeping 
with one of those girls whom I didn’t know and who
was more experienced than I.
Regardless whether drugged, God’s touch, or fearing sex
next day I started plans for Houghton College 
there I met among others 
rules 
dogma
faith that God judges and
assurance of heaven or hell lost in sin. 
Whew, enough of that.
Filtered through the infinite light of God’s love
never doubting 
when Jesus was talking about love
those are my Christian beliefs.
