Fifteen degrees driving to work this morning
frost in treetops along Route 3 calls to mind
Mt. Sunapee skiing with Ruth
the Sun Bowl in the sun
the sun on the slopes warm in the cold.
Oh those were beautiful mornings
first sighting of the mountain top
bright snow-soft focus
soon chairlift peace 
among the hoarfrost pines.
