If young and can’t have everything 
I’d rather not commit to the church
as a servant that is
grandpa wanted me a minister.
In St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Rochester
politically socially sympathetic
Rochester Colgate Divinity School
going to church Sunday mornings and
a conversation with St. Paul’s Reverend
wondering to him about who else my self is
whether I’d course toward divinity 
he said in polite reply
there are many ways to serve 
start as an usher or try a committee
I said oh I don’t think so thanks
all of everything or not at all
that’s how I learned a bit about myself
the Christian service part
true enough then is now
a manifest mismatch 
minister and me.
