Wilton’s Waldorf School rejected us
our family was too far gone on arithmetic 
and on our television set
Sesame Street in the home.
A single interview decided the matter 
Waldorf prefers painting and performing till middle grades
only then reading writing and arithmetic.
Writing now I have the same feeling as then
trapped 
let go 
wanting a gravel tire spin
on the way out.
