Hitting on a poem in January grey
a thought strikes me that I could go to all this summer’s games
sights and sounds would spark from a color wheel
rendered into daily poems.
Ten years ago at ‘BAE Night’
Holman Stadium
ringed with tall pines
the home-run fence nearly free of ads
the ballpark full of corporate buffs on cement slab seating
Cheryl Frank Lewis and I enjoyed the game
regardless who won.
