My spiritual life enlivens Halloween
some religious adults fear dressing up as dead or a princess
real ghosts may come through
I pray the kids and their impossibly young moms
innocence daring for chocolate or a candy bar
never to be cheated bullied forsaken nor otherwise harmed.
