60 years to write a poem could dissuade
doubtful it’s a poem until it’s done
the inching worm and loam

each day
a few moments favor a poem
some smile with approval’s fraud
some spawn a nod

look it’s New Years day
reinvigorate and carry on
told anyone could write poems as good
