If we’re all alike as drops from a saltwater pool
if we’re like the five girls at the Dunedin pool
teenagers in bathing suits and wraps together crossing the lawn
we might be concerned our appearance and actions conform
later in the afternoon
back home alone I might think about
the prospects staring at my life.
