a stock photograph from the 50s hung on our apartment wall as art
chrome and sheet metal gleaming
grab bars on seat backs
leather straps for pulling up passengers and helping them stand
doubtless the bus was junked and squashed  
the photograph has been lost
another photo of a bus hangs in a different house
a children’s bus on a carousel painted orange yellow and red
it’s filled with little kids peering
doubtless adults.
