A finch’s nest in our Easter wreath delighted
you posted photographs and more photos
ensuing concerns for the well-being of eggs and chicks
you became aware the charm of finches
delayed the appointment of the summer wreath.
When the poopy nest got disgusting
you moved the wreath to the cherry tree and
contrite returned it to the door
but then new grass was laced into the spring nest
you     my loving wife     untwined and pulled it out.
