Getting started mind and body run uncoordinated
mind says
breathe deep from the belly
shoulder hip ankle in a line
lift heels
syncopate and twist
lean forward and don’t spill Chi
but the body tries to jump off a jerky conveyor belt
the second mile’s struggle is less
mind and body get along better
mind is the master with positive reminders
smile with confidence up this hill
lean forward for a little boost of speed
and later reviewing the run
it seems as if mind was at rest and
nearly impossible my body was doing all of that.
