First Night's Grand Procession paraded Mayor Menino then
Chinese weaving snakes, the Cyling Murray's,
giants on stilts, and neighborhood bands.
Copley Square's ice sculptures drew the largest crowds and
multi-colored lasers on the library blazoned '! Happy New Year !'
(which I particularly loved).
The Pru's food court - choose whatever you want -
was a welcome warming from the cold and there was
the New Hampshire family dressed appropriately
frozen in memory
my son refused to get out of the car
stayed there the while parked underground.
Hindsight presents a life's mystery
