Like most nights
we’re at the house
my wife and I heard trucks go by
it was late
she said what the devil’s that
we found out from television
they’re hauling snow out to the airstrip
our dollars are now trucking snow
melting it there
being from the ‘80s
we’re not surprised
maybe there’s a reason
anyways
like I said
we’re from an era where you got used to things.
